Hi, my name is Gianluigi, AKA Gian ‘Il Muggine’ (The Mullett). I started fishing when i was a school boy, and since then i never quit. I am addicted to fly fishing, although i do not disregard lure fishing both in saltwatwer and freshwater. For part of my life i have been traveling around the world, for both work and leisure, and had the immense luck of being able to fish remote and exotic waters, from the Kingdom of Tonga to Tokyo Harbour going through India, New Zealand, Argentina and many more. I now live in the small village of Monterosso al Mare, in the hearth of Cinque Terre National Park, Eastern Liguria, a place of incredible natural diversity, where crystal-clear trout streams flow just a few miles from the rugged coastline. I am a professional fishing guide, member of the Italian Fishing Guide Association (AIGUPP), and my mission is to showcase to visiting anglers the great fishing opportunities that this part of Italy has to offer. There aren’t indeed many places where you can flyfish for mahi mahi in the morning, and climb up a trout creek in the afternoon!
